I was born on the 25th of July, 1966, in Stari Grad, Croatia. I spent my childhood on the island of Hvar which is where I currently reside, having returned home after 10 years of living in various European countries. In 2002, I opened my own atelier/studio on Hvar, in the heart of Stari Grad.

Science fiction and documentaries about the animal world fuel my imagination and serve as a source for my art. I am constantly in search of organic materials for my creations, taking long walks along the coast of the Dalmatian islands to find natural objects that inspire me. I collect all sorts of effluvia – pebbles, roots, bones - which I assemble into jewelry in a simple, primal manner evocative of a tribal style. Over many years, I have refined and developed my technical skills of assembly so that they can support every aspect of my fantasies and I am continually augmenting my ability to connect disparate materials and ideas.

I create wearable, artistic pieces to embellish the wrist and the neck. My jewelry incorporates beach pebbles as well as semi-precious and precious stones. I use the bones of fish, gulls, crows and pheasants and also horns and fur. I also use the roots of seaweed, reeds and seeds and sometimes olive and other indigenous tree woods. My necklaces and bracelets return jewelry to its primeval beginnings, when objects were endowed with personal and collective magic.

My gallery is also populated with fantastic, one-of-a-kind creatures. In 2001 I created my first sculptural pieces. Their style is a mélange of the prehistoric and the futuristic creatures of science fiction which makes them difficult to anchor in any sense of time. My creations are a 3-dimensional fusion representing imagination veering towards the future, in a manner that stems from the artistic traditions of still life. Open minds are required before entering the gallery.

For almost 10 years I have continued to use all that Nature has to offer and, in this way, I have given life to different creatures built from only one or from myriads of elements. It is my belief that the material creates the beast.

My entire range of materials is found naturally; collected on the beach, in attics or even from pub kitchens where I learnt the anatomy of fish-heads! I take no living materials. In time, I came to be given raw materials from all around the world - from friends and from people who, since entering my "World of Fantazam", have stayed in touch with me. These materials, befitting of a shaman with their deep sense of Earth and Sea, have influenced my vision of decoration. The power of Nature, received at the end of the cycle of life, resides in my creations
